United After Ashes Foundation, Inc. was created from the understanding that life can divide itself into a before and an after. The Foundation exists to help people carry what happened while still discovering what can come next.
I created it because I know what it feels like to wake up in a life you never expected to be living.
Loss changed me. It changed the way I understood time, purpose, family, and even what it meant to keep going. What I eventually learned is that moving forward does not require leaving love behind.
United After Ashes grew from that truth. This is a place for people whose lives have been altered by loss or hardship, and who are learning how to carry what happened while still making room for what comes next.
A mother's loss opened the doorway. Everybody's loss is welcome through it.
